    Hewlett Pacakrd built it, and they won't stand behind it....Walmart sold it, and they won't stand behind it, Asurion Services Plans of Florida sold a $99 extended warranty plan through Walmart, and THEY won't stand behind it. At this point, after being passed around between the customer service departments of all the above, I'm not really sure who is responsible, but I'll bet my State Attorney General's Office will figure it out!!   • Laptop Failure



    HP DV9000 Overheats - warranty service. Hewlett Packard and Nvidia Corporation has knowingly sold defective laptops. The laptops overheat and sometimes catch fire. HP is only fixing some of the laptops. I have been told my laptop will NOT be fixed. there is a class action suit against HP and the latest is that a judge has ruled in HP's favor. That ruling is being challenged. In November of 2007, HP and Nvidia Corporation knew about the problem. I purchased in 2008. There is an "extended warranty" available for only "certain" video chips.   • Warranty and Recall



    My laptop went out during the begining session of my online classes. The part that caused the crash is on recall by the company. I had to purchase another laptop do to the fact that my classes were online and required login several times a week. When i did get around to call about the problem i was told that my warranty was out and i had to pay almost an amount for a new one. If a recall is issued what does it matter that the warranty is out. By the time you make all the different phone calls the time is later and later and the problem never gets solved.
